Supervisory Committee Volunteers

The Supervisory Committee is appointed by the board and acts as the financial watchdog of the Credit Union ensuring that members’ assets are safeguarded. The Committee acts independently of the control of other Credit Union officials and must not interfere in any of the daily operations or transactions of the Credit Union. The Committee members maintain an impartial and independent position. It acts within the purview assigned to it by the Board and the Federal Credit Union Act (FCUA). Supervisory Committee volunteers will spend approximately 100 – 200 hours a year in support of their position.

CU Education/Achievements: Currently working on successfully completing the required Credit Union National Association Volunteer Achievement and Leadership Program educational modules in order to meet the Board standards for Continuous Professional Education.

Occupation: Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, Public Relations Director

Education: BA Journalism/Public Relations; Kent State University

CU Education/Achievements: Earned the Credit Committee Award, the Board of Directors Award and the Edward A. Filene Awards from the Credit Union National Association Volunteer Achievement Program.  Currently working on successfully completing the required Credit Union National Association Volunteer Achievement and Leadership Program educational modules in order to meet the Board standards for Continuous Professional Education.

Occupation: Finance Officer for the Nelson County School System

Education: Elizabethtown Community College, received  Certification from UK Gatton College of Business and Economics for Certified School Finance.  Completing  21 continuing education credits each year through UK Gatton.

CU Education/Achievements:  Successfully completed the required Credit Union National Association Volunteer Achievement and Leadership Program educational modules for this position, and has met Board standards for Continuous Professional Education.
